It’s Open Enrollment Time!

It’s time!!!! Open Enrollment is here – the 2019 Open Enrollment period for health, dental, vision, FlexElect, and Consolidated Benefits (CoBEN), which is September 9, 2019 through October 4, 2019. During Open Enrollment, eligible employees may make changes to the above-mentioned benefits. All open enrollment transactions will be effective January 1, 2020. Open enrollment form(s) must be signed and dated within the open enrollment period. The Personnel Services Section must receive open enrollment forms no later than October 4, 2019. Documents received after this date may not be processed.

Information on Health Premiums and Dental & Vision Premiums can be found here: Health Premiums 2020 and Dental-and-Vision-Premiums-2020. For more information about choosing a health plan, please visit the CalPERS Health Benefits Program website and the CalHR’s dental webpage for the dental handbook for more information about the dental program. Detailed documents with important information about the 2019 Open Enrollment for Health, Dental, Vision, Flex Elect and CoBEN can be found here: http://indor/asd/human-resources-branch/personnel-services-section/open-enrollment. Please read the documents in its entirety as there are very important changes occurring for 2020.

No action is necessary for currently enrolled employees who do not wish to make changes to their benefit plan(s).

Flex Elect Medical and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account(s) must be updated annually. Please visit CalHR’s Reimbursement Accounts webpage to access the Flex Elect Handbook for more information.

For employees who are currently enrolled in Premier Vision Plan, no action is needed if there are no changes made to their plan. For Vision Service Plan (VSP), there are 3 ways to enroll:

1) Visit VSP at http://stateofcaemployee.vspforme.com/ and complete the online enrollment form.

2) Complete and mail the VSP enrollment form you receive in the mail. (Please contact VSP if you did not receive an enrollment form from them and would like a copy). Completed forms are to be mailed directly to VSP at the following address:

3) Call VSP at (800) 877-7195 and speak to a member services representative.

Please do not send the Premier Vision form to your Personnel Office.
