Network Maintenance is scheduled for this Saturday January 23rd. The network (Aware, CIDOR, E-mail, and Internet) will not be available from 8:00am – 2:00pm while the maintenance is being completed. During this time, please adhere to the following guidelines to minimize impact to users and the network (please note the updated guidelines on bringing computers into the office for software updates):
- All users should refrain from logging onto the network during the maintenance period to minimize the chance of data loss or user profile corruption. Any user data that is lost as a result of being logged onto the network during the maintenance period cannot be recovered.
- Ensure computers in DOR offices are powered up and remain on during the maintenance weekend. This will minimize the deployment of patches during the work week which can slow down network performance in the field.
- Software updates are now pushed out to DOR computers even when they are out of the office, so it is no longer necessary to return your DOR laptop on a monthly/regular basis. When feasible, leaving your DOR computer turned on and plugged in at home on Friday night will allow it to update in the most timely manner. If the update process doesn’t work from home, you may need to bring it in to a DOR office.
- If you experience any connectivity issues after the designated maintenance period, please contact the Technical Support Unit at TechnicalSupportUnit@dor.ca.gov.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for supporting ITSD during this scheduled maintenance period.
Thank you,
ITSD
