Notification from ITSD: OneDrive Migration

The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) is in the process of migrating employees’ files from their H: drives to Microsoft’s OneDrive, a cloud-based file hosting service. OneDrive provides the ability to collaborate and share any file so there is only a single document to maintain and allows multiple users to update it. OneDrive ensures files are automatically saved and provides better file security.

ITSD will notify you in the coming weeks, as employees are migrated in phases, with a “OneDrive Migration Complete” notification email with next steps.

ACTION REQUIRED:

  • For 30 days after you are notified of your migration, your H:\ drive will only be available in a read-only mode. Please take that time to confirm all files were successfully copied to OneDrive.
  • Post migration, all new documents will need to be created and saved within your OneDrive.

Before requesting help with OneDrive, please review our OneDrive FAQ page, then contact the Technical Support Unit with any remaining questions or issues at TechnicalSupportUnit@dor.ca.gov.

Thank you for your assistance with this effort to provide the Department with a more streamlined and secure file storage system.
